Much like missionaries that travel around the globe, here at the International House of Prayer (IHOP-KC) we live off of full support as intercessory missionaries. This allows us to spend most of our time directed to night and day prayer.
The bible makes it clear that those who financially give and thus send out missionaries are just as important and critical as the missionaries themselves. I saw your post on Amazon (link below). I like the way you ended it, it was very well done. I am a Jewish believer and of far too much of the Messianic community really struggles with these things- and yet they still name their daughters after Ester, the Babylonian name for that book in the Old testament is “Ishtar”- a goddess. Our God created all things, delivered us from our own sin that separates us from Him, and has given us a renewed relationship with Him… and redeeming a day of the year like Chistmas or Easter is beyond Him? It is sad to think this way. No one has to celebrate either day but the fact that He can save even these pagan rituals and make them glorify His Wonderful Name is a true testament to His merciful, holy nature.

Yeah… I got a little passionate on amazon there. Ha ha. I think it just pains me to see division in Christ’s body between Jews and non-Jews. I wish there was freedom to worship God without trying to change someone’s culture (which goes both ways). The Gentile church does the same thing. Thanks for commending me, though I think gentleness would be better next time.
